Silly Squirrels Sneaking into your Glen Burnie Home?

Don’t let squirrels get the best of you!

Squirrels are pretty much everywhere, but they can quickly become problematic if they are interacting with your pets or they get into your home. So, how can you rid yourself of these little critters? How can you deter them from hanging around your Glen Burnie property? It can be annoying when squirrels get into bird feeders as well. So, we’ve got some tips that might help keep the squirrels at bay. Ready to check them out? Let’s do it!

Seal your home.

Squirrels are notorious nibblers who will chew through a great many different materials to gain access to your home. So, how can you keep them out of your attic, basement, or walls? You need to seal all access points and make sure they’re good and tight. If you have problems with squirrels chewing their way in, try placing a little hot sauce on the affected area. It may deter them long enough for you to make the proper repairs.

Don’t bother with squirrel repellent.

There are products on the market that claim they can get rid of squirrels using a spray or a sonic device. All of these things sound too good to be true, right? Well, they are. These products only work for a short amount of time, if at all. Some of them can even cause harm to the squirrel, and no one wants that.

Keep food inside your Glen Burnie home.

We’ve said this many times, but we’re saying it again. Leaving food outside is one of the biggest reasons why critters of all sorts come to set up their nests. They think that food is for them, but you don’t want that. Make sure to pick up all scraps and dog food containers the minute your pet is finished eating. Keep any trashcans with food in them completely covered.
